Mike  (Budda) Brown, Owner and Bait Designer PB 37lb 6

Hi my name is Mike, friends call me "budda"  Personal best of 37lb 6oz
I'm the founder and owner of Legacy baits.
I have been into carp fishing for over 20 years
I have spent the last 10 years in development, designing and redesigning base mixes until I found what I think is the perfect balance.

The aim was to offer good quality food baits that will consistently catch fish and with the baits I have designed I feel I have more than achieved that.
I feel carp fishing has become like a fashion show with questions like"what rods ya got?" "what bite alarms you using?" What reels ya got?" etc, and its the same with bait if its fashionable lets use it without actually thinking, "what is in it" or "does this really help the fish growth"
I
t is my opinion that carp fishing is more about " I must catch the biggest fish in the lake" rather than enjoying the hobby.
Its important to understand that force feeding fish high protein food while short term you will achieve huge weight gains long term you will have fishing dying young through growth stress putting pressure o young carps organs, h
aving the right amount of aminios etc we feel you are helping the "natural growth" of the fish.
It is also important to understand why carp were brought in this country in the first place, "food" they were brought into the UK by monks many years ago why? because carp are and should be full of muscle and that's the key "muscle" its what make carp hard fighters, now I know of waters where so much rubbish bait goes in that these fish simply don't fight during the catching process and that no good if your fishing for hard fighting carp.
The other key part is wastage that carp get rid of during the feeding process the main source is ammonia which is release via the body from underneath scales etc (NOT AS SOME WOULD BELIEVE) through via anal passage by the anal fin, this plays a huge part in the water quality so again angler should bare that in mind when choosing the right bait,
Carp also do not have a stomach as such it is a tubular system with constant movement allowing food to flow through while globules absorb nutrients as it pass through the tube.

Our baits and base mixes are perfectly balanced with dry and quality liquid foods that the bait supports the carps natural intake of vitamins, minerals, fats and proteins at the level it should be.
At legacy baits we strive to think and work outside the box as we say and outside the fashion world of carp baits to offer proper food source baits.
The difference being I offer quality rather than quantity which I feel is giving legacy the edge over other competitors.
90% of the range is frozen with the new ticket available in shelf life.
I don't waste money on fancy printed bag packaging, which then pushes the price of the bait up and after all what use is fancy printed bag packaging in catching you a carp?
All in all I offer honesty, fairness and good balanced quality bait for all you guys and girls out there to catch fish.

Tom Pearce (Senior Bait Consultant) PB 30lb 3

Hello, I'm Peter But I prefer "Tom".
Having fish for a few years myself, I feel the thinking and the understanding that has gone into the legacy bait products in my opinion are flawless.
I personally, have had nothing but success using legacy baits, having had my personal best broken 3 time in my first year of it's use as well as consistently catching time after time.

Being the senior field tester gives me great insight of the development of new baits that mike puts into
production
Enjoy.

Shaun Byrne (media consultant) PB 33lb

Hello, I'm Shaun, having been part of legacy for about 3 years now, I felt I could offer some of my media skills to help with film editing and filming, I use the social media to great effect helping legacy on Instagram, twitter, youtube and Facebook.
With mike working hard to produce the fantastic range of baits and products it doesn't leave a lot of time for Mike to cope with todays social media, so with Legacy expanding it's a real pleasure to assist where possible and give Mike advice etc... because I know he appreciates my efforts.

Josh Revell-Brown (sales consultant) PB 34lb 14

Hello I'm Josh,
I got back into fishing again about 6 years ago.
I have used alot of different baits, mainly the popular, fashionable expensive ones, which to be fare I'd have some success with, however, when I started using legacy baits, I straight away notice a massive difference in my catch rates,  I was also surprised about how little of the bait you have to use to actually have success.
Thanks to legacy baits my PB is now 34lb 14
I am most definitely NEVER going to entertain any other bait company, as legacy bait is just so consistent its scary.

Its a pure pleasure to be part of legacy and to be part of the sales team.
